Chicken Farmers of Saskatchewan

In the spirit of fostering stronger communities, the Chicken Farmers of Saskatchewan contributed $250,000 to the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre's new home. This contribution exemplifies the dedication of Saskatchewan's chicken farmers to making a positive impact beyond their farms.

Saskatchewan currently boasts 68 registered chicken farmers who together, are deeply invested in building healthier and more resilient communities. The donation to the capital campaign comes in addition to the ongoing efforts of the Chicken Farmers of Saskatchewan, who regularly contribute to  and support local communities and organizations in need. This includes partnering with the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre to ensure that nutritious, locally sourced protein is accessible to those facing food insecurity.

"Chicken farmers in Saskatchewan are passionate about ensuring that our communities have access to safe, nutritious, high-quality food," stated Michael Kautzman, Executive Director of the Chicken Farmers of Saskatchewan. "This donation to the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre is an extension of our ongoing commitment to nurture a community bond that extends far beyond the farm.”
